WISHART PRAISES LETHAM COMMUNITY SPORTS CLUB

Speaking today (Monday) following a visit to Letham Community Sports Club this weekend, Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth and North Perthshire, praised the work being done by this excellent community organisation. Mr Wishart said:

"Local sports clubs provide so much benefit to a community. Aside from the obvious fun aspect of being involved in sport, organisations like this help to promote healthy living, foster team spirit and encourage community involvement.

"Letham Community Sports Club is a wonderful example of the sort of grassroots organisation that gives a community its heart. I congratulate them on everything they have achieved, wish them all the very best for the future and give thanks for the time and effort given so selflessly by all those who keep the Club running. "

Local Councillor, Elspeth Maclachlan, added:

"Letham Community Sports Club is fast approaching its 50th birthday and is sowing no signs of slowing down. Indeed its innovative approach to the sports needs of the local children is an inspiration to us all. As a local councillor I am proud to have this club in my ward."
