WISHART TO VISIT BLACK WATCH REGIMENTAL MUSEUM

Member of Parliament for Perth and North Perthshire, Mr Pete Wishart, will tomorrow be visiting the Black Watch Museum at Balhousie Castle to meet with Museum's Director Lieutenant Colonel Roddy Riddell to discuss a range of current issues.

Speaking before the visit Mr Wishart said:

“I am very much looking forward to meeting with Lt. Col. Riddell to see the various new aspects of the Black Watch Museum. The Museum is, particularly in this, the year of Homecoming and, with Perth’s 800th Anniversary just round the corner, a major attraction in our county.

“I am also looking forward to discussing issues surrounding the continuation and importance of the Golden Thread as well as the concerns which are at the forefront of the minds of so many of Perthshire’s families; those Black Watch soldiers currently serving in the tour of Afghanistan.”
