NORTH PERTHSHIRE GROUPS TO BENEFIT FROM £20,000 LOTTERY CASH 


Mr John Swinney MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for North Tayside and Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth and North Perthshire have today (Monday) congratulated two groups in their constituencies who have recently been successful in applying to the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All, securing a total of £20,000 funding.

Mr Wishart said:

“A big well done to Blairgowrie Riding for the Disabled and the Dunkeld and Birnam Recreation Club for securing £10,000 each from the Big Lottery Fund's Awards for All.

“I know that these two excellent organisations will put the money to very good use and I look forward to being able to congratulate other local organisations in future rounds of awards from this fund which helps channel much needed funds into the heart of local communities.”

Mr Swinney added :

“Congratulations to all of those who have been involved in these organisations. I am sure that the grants which they have been awarded will be put to great use and encourage others to become involved in groups with the community.

“I believe that all the groups, who qualify, in North Tayside should apply for this grant and make the most of all the opportunities open to them.”
