“It is this fourth category that I want to highlight to local businesses and organisations. The Queen's Awards Office is currently seeking nomination and the closing date for this round of awards is the 30th of October.
“There are a number of different pathways to qualifying for this award and I am sure that there are many folk out there in my constituency working hard to stimulate business growth in a variety of different ways whose work could be recognised through these awards.
“Entrepeneurs, businessment and women, inventors and innovators who giver their time or financial support to other potential entrepreneurs whether or not they are still in education or at the early stages of starting up or growing a business.
“Within education, training and youth work, those who are provideing others with enterprise skills and attitudes, and those involved in social enterprise who are achieving success in equipping others with business skills.
“I would encourage anybody who knows of someone that might fit into one of these categories to seriously consider nominating them for an award.
“All they have to do is pass the details on to my office or visit the Queen's Award website at www.queensawards.org.uk and fill in a form online.”
