WISHART TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON MPs' EXPENSES

Perth and North Perthshire MP, Mr Pete Wishart, is holding a public meeting tomorrow, Thursday 28 May, to enable his constituents to discuss any issues they may have regarding MPs' expenses.

The meeting will be help in Mr Wishart's constituency office, 9 York Place, Perth at 7.00pm.

Speaking in advance of the meeting, Mr Wishart said:

"I have always taken the issue of allowances very seriously and I have taken the view that I must be able to look my constituents in the eye with every claim I have made.

"However, I have been besieged by constituents who are very concerned and angry about some of the stories that are emerging about MPs' expenses.

"That is why I will be holding a public meeting in my constituency office in Perth to discuss all the issues concerning MPs' allowances. If any of my constituents have any issues about MPs' expenses, I very much hope they will come along."

Pete Wishart has published details of his expense claims his website at www.petewishartmp.com. The public meeting on MPs' expenses will be held at 7pm, Thursday 28th May at Pete Wishart's constituency office, 9 York Place, Perth.
