WISHART WELCOMES VION TAKEOVER APPROVAL

The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire has welcomed the news that the Office of Fair Trading has approved the purchase of Vion by the 2 Sisters Food Group,
Speaking this afternoon (Wednesday), Mr Wishart said:
“I am delighted by the news that the Office of Fair Trading has approved the purchase of Vion by 2 Sisters, securing one thousand jobs in Coupar Angus.
“This very welcome decision has lifted the worry and uncertainty that was facing the workforce and their families.
“I congratulate 2 Sisters Food Group on their vision and investment and look forward with confidence to a bright future for the Coupar Angus workforce.”
