The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, met recently with third year Modern Studies students at Pitlochry High School to talk about democracy and his work as an MP.
Speaking today (Monday) Mr Wishart said:
“It is always hugely encouraging and refreshing to visit schools and talk about democracy and politics with young people.
“Without the cynicism of their elders, their knowledge of and interest in the subject that concern them is always impressive and my visit with the third year Modern Studies class at Pitlochry High School was no different in that regard.
“I hope that my visit was helpful to them in understanding the intricacies of the political process, that they found our discussion about wider issues to be interesting and I wish each of them all the very best with their studies.”
