The Scottish National Party's Mr Pete Wishart, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, today (Friday) visited Balhousie Castle, home to the newly re-vamped Black Watch Museum.
Speaking ahead of his visit, Mr Wishart said:
"The museum at Balhousie Castle has really benefitted from the investment that has been put into it, I am really looking forward to getting a tour of what is now a very important local visitor attraction.
"It is, of course, much more than that, besides.
"Telling, as it does, the history of a regiment that is very dear to many Perthshire families - their stories entwined with the story of the Black Watch - this museum is a tribute and testament to all those who have served with the Black Watch down the generations.
"At this time of year, as we approach Remembrance Day, we honour the memory of all those who gave their lives in wars and conflicts around the globe."
