Perth and North Perthshire MP, Pete Wishart has welcomed the announcement in the budget that the Perthshire based Scottish Charity Air Ambulance has been given £3.3 million for an upgrade from the Libor fund.
Speaking today Pete Wishart said
"I am thrilled and delighted for the SCAA in securing this money. This is great news for the SCAA and will allow them to develop their operation and secure its future.
"I have been in regular contact with the Chancellor on this issue and am pleased that he has responded so positively to the many approaches that has been made to him.
"The Scottish Charity Air Ambulance is an ideal candidate for the Libor fund criteria and I look forward to them making their particular positive contribution to health and safety in all the hard to reach parts of Scotland."
