The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire is highlighting £25,000 being made available through Aviva’s Community Fund which offers support and funding to inspirational local projects in local communities.
Speaking today (Wednesday) Mr Wishart said:
“Charities and local initiatives from across the UK have entered to receive up to £25,000 in funding and we, the general public can determine who gets that funding.
“With Perth having such a close connection with Aviva, I would hope that local awareness of this fund would give Perthshire organisations a better than average chance of success.
“To show your support, you need to register online but then you can find out more about the groups that have put in funding bids and cast your votes. Each person registering received 10 votes which they can to give to the causes of their choice. The ten votes can all be cast for the one entrant or spread around.
“You can search and sort by location or by project name, but remember there are only ten days left to get ten votes to cast for local good causes – don’t delay and remember the old saying, vote early, vote often!
“All the very best to all the good causes who have submitted bids.”
