WISHART WELCOMES T IN THE PARK DECISION

The Scottish National Party’s Mr Pete Wishart MP, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, has welcomed the news that T in the Park will go ahead at Strathallan Castle this summer.
Speaking today (Tuesday) Mr Wishart said:
“T in the Park is a major event in the Scottish summer calendar and has grown to the extent that it is worthy around £1.5million to the local economy with bars, hotels, taxi drivers and all sorts of other businesses in and around Perth benefiting from a boost in custom.
“When it became clear that the festival was going to have to leave Balado it was imperative that it remain within Perthshire and I am delighted to learn that the Council has now approved the application.”
