Mr Pete Wishart, Member of Parliament for Perth & North Perthshire, has highlighted information about a competition which could see children and teachers from local schools invited to an awards ceremony in the House of Commons.
Mr Wishart said:
“Nominations for the Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Awards are now open and can be submitted through the awards website, www.kelloggs.co.uk/breakfastclubawards. The awards application process will be open until October 12th 2015.
“Breakfast clubs can be an important part of children’s daily lives, a huge help to working parents and an excellent way of helping children from all backgrounds start the school day focused and ready to learn.
“This competition seeks to recognize that and reward those who go the extra mile, with a range of award categories, including promoting a healthy lifestyle, community involvement, best breakfast clubs in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the prestigious ‘Breakfast Club Hero’ award.
“If you know a club or individual that deserves recognition and the opportunity to win a prize of £1,500 - £500 for runners up as well as a host of other prizes – then get the nomination in now.”
